As a teenager, Stewart started contributing to print rock and football fanzines in the 1980’s and then as they moved to online versions. In recent years writing has included album and live concert reviews for the print magazine Powerplay rock and metal. In 2014 Stewart self-published a memoir called Route A666 A Heavy Metal Journey about being a young concert goer in the UK and US.
Victor publishing releases include Back Next Year (2021) and We’re Back! (2022). These books document Stockport County Football Clubs return to the English Football League after a long exile in non-league. Also, in 2022, Judas Priest 50 Years of Metal was released. This book celebrates the bands induction into the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame, 50th anniversary and includes Stewart’s recollections of following the band for forty years.
The author has also presented rock music shows for the online radio stations Greater Manchester Rock Radio and Real Rock Radio. He has plans for more books in the future.
